A Study on the Postpartum Women, with Chloasma Gravidarum

Abstract
|
|
|
This survey was carried out on 150 postpartum women who were admitted into, the Hospital of medical college, Chung Nam National University and The Sung Mo Hospital, for the purpose to find out the reason of chloasma gravidarum appearance on them by the questionnaire method, observation, interview and examining the charts during the period of July, I to August 30, 1974.
The findings were as follows:
1. General Characteristics of Subjects
(1) On the education level, 25.3% of the women graduated the high school and college, 11.3% of them did middle school, 13.3% of them did primary school or non-educated.
(2) On the standard of living, 34.6% of them were above the middle class and 15.40 of them were lower class.
2. As for the frequency rate of the postpartum women with chloasma gravidarum by ages showed in the 10.7% of them 20-24 age group, 26.7% in the 25-29 age group (the highest frequency rate), 6.0% in the 30-34 age group and 5.3% in the 35-39 age group.
3. In the relation between chloasma gravidarum frequency and the growth rate of the new born, the highest frequency (23.3%) was when the weights of the babies were 2.5-2.9kg.
4. The relation between the parity and the frequency of chloasma gravidarum in their first parity, 7.4% did in the 2nd parity and 9.4% did in their 3rd parity.
